Update! The book is done and I would love to share it with you. Please Visit Our Store to buy the book.

For the last two years I have been dreaming of writing a book about my journey and my experiences in the shamanic practice of Sacred Sexuality. This dream is becoming a reality and I want to share a little bit of the creative process with you. Below are some completely unedited excerpts straight from the introduction to my book. I hope you all enjoy reading it and can’t wait to share it with you in its final form :)

Journey To Sexual Wholeness Interview

Chapter 13: Balancing Your Life Excerpt

Crying out, the masses sing the pain of their wounded souls and hearts every day on our planet. From war to bigotry and prejudice to unhappy lives chosen to fit the mainstream, people in our culture are stuck in a pit of life-denying, destructive pain. When the creative sexual urge is repressed over and over, the soul splits from the force of holding it in too long and too hard. The pure natural ecstatic joy of sexual/spiritual union is never glimpsed and the lives of many fall into despair, brokenness, and emotional illness. The fragmented soul becomes lost, bits of it spinning away from the center. Not allowing full expression of love limits our connection to each other, which is truly the highest expression of humanity–to love, to connect, and dance in joy.

Clarity is so needed in our minds as we move through a world designed to confuse us. Holding a simple thought can become almost impossible in our mind-numbing world of jets, television, loud music, loud cars, loud wars, loud people, anger swirling, and thoughts twirling around us. So often I find myself in a public place, overcome by the din. I was raised a small-town girl, and I am used to the quiet, to houses with space between them, and thoughts with time between them to savor and turn them over until they become like pure clear crystals that have a purity of intention and a wisdom that speaks beyond time, space, and meaning. This wisdom is the goal of all thought, of the mind. The goal of the clear and balanced mind is not to analyze endlessly, but rather to embrace wonder, and to be fresh in every moment of its experiencing. To be like a child and an old wise sage at the same time, so that in any situation, we are that clear crystal, beautiful, and brilliant and bright. This is the brightness of rainbows, of purity, of unicorns and little girls laughing.

Flowing like water, the healthy emotional state is one of a cup that fills and empties like a fountain. With no end and no beginning, the healthy expression of emotions continues on and on like the sea. There is no pause, no place that does not contain emotion in human life. Any place devoid of feeling, any place of numbness is a danger signal that we are cut off from our feminine side, from our ability to be truly human and to feel. Negative and positive emotions flow together in the healthy state, and we learn that emotions are like the weather, not controllable, but certainly survivable and even enjoyable. Healing past hurts allows this state to come into being. We thaw the ice of old repressions, of things held tightly in the body and soul, things we do not want to look at or acknowledge. Perhaps the ice was formed by a careless word or act, or perhaps it is a glacier, laid down over years of childhood abuse and neglect. Perhaps even the ice comes from our adult life and the experiences that disappoint us. It does not matter where the ice comes from or what its story is for healing. For healing we only apply the warmth of love and let the ice thaw until once again the waters flow pure and clear and clean, and once we have done this, the healthy emotional state naturally returns. Shamanic healing can bring this state without rational explanation, without the interference of the mind. This state comes simply and purely, by removing the wounds of the soul. As the waters rush through us once more, we feel alive with joy.

Namaste,
Kypris :)
