Temple Bellydance Zills of Earth (Women Only)

6 Week class starts Monday February 25th 7-8 PM
at The Village Witch, North Park, San Diego
The class is open to everyone and is suitable for all levels

Come into a beautiful mystical union of music. movement, and rhythm as we learn the magick of the finger cymbals, known in Turkey as “zills”, and in Egypt as “sagats”. In Zills of Earth we continue our journey into the elements, spending 6 weeks learning to use the finger cymbals as instruments for deep healing through sound. We will focus on one rhythm each week, and play with the energetic resonances they create. We strengthen our bodies and our connection with the element of Earth by playing the finger cymbals, by inviting the rhythms of the Middle East into our hands and our bodies as we move and play the cymbals at the same time. Through adding a new way of healing and connecting to the element of Earth to the toolbox of the temple dancer, we also strengthen our bodies.
