Divine Union is the joining of the masculine and feminine within yourself, within your connections to others, and within your connection to the world. When we sit in our center we naturally fall into a healthy balance of masculine and feminine. For most men the active masculine place is dominant and the receptive feminine place is quieter. For many women the opposite is true.

In solo work, divine union describes a marriage of the masculine and feminine energies within the self, allowing us to be both active and receptive when it is appropriate. Many of us, for example, are active when we are at work, and receptive when we are at home meditating. In this way our inner masculine and feminine energies work together in harmony. Divine union also explores our connection with the natural world, with the life force energy in the spirits of the plants, the rocks, and the animals. In consort practice, divine union becomes the place where we explore the polarity of masculine and feminine. In this practice, we get to fully sit in one polarity, allowing our partner to balance us and to connect with us. This merging can only come after a sense of safety has been created through work with the previous five steps, where we learn to be strongly centered and balanced within our own energetic and emotional fields. The practice of divine union is the ultimate goal of shamanic tantra, to merge our life force energy with all that is, through the experience of the body.

We will experience this rapturous practice of connecting with our active and receptive selves, through both solo and partnered work. In solo practice, we will explore divine union through trance journey, breathwork, and movement allowing you to integrate at a core level what these poles feel like to you alone. In partnered work, we will merge with each other through eye gazing, breath circuits, and touch, giving you a channel of communication through which you will explore your true active and receptive self. We look forward to divinely communing with you!
