Moon in Libra — Take time for Connection
“All human beings need words of appreciation, and I realized that I must be doing a good job with my son when he was 3. We had a team of construction workers remodeling our house, and for several weeks he took every opportunity to tell them what a good job they were doing. He continues now, at age 12 to offer this support to those around him, both to his parents and to his peers. I feel blessed that he has integrated this valuable lesson about relationship.”

Appreciation
May 13th, 2011 by KyprisWhat is a Boundary?
May 11th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Virgo — Set your Life Straight
“Firm boundaries are the hallmark of emotional health. A strong boundary is one of the most loving acts you can do for yourself. It tells other people how you want to be treated. It helps them to love you the way that you want to be loved.
I used to have a lot of trouble with boundaries, and I honestly thought that a boundary was something that I told my partner to do. For example I thought that asking my partner not to drink so much, or to spend more time with me was a boundary. Imagine my shock and surprise when I learned that these were not boundaries but attempts to control my partner!”

My Love is Like Honey…
May 10th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Leo — Open to the Fire in your heart….
“Honey and Sweetness are the overwhelming feelings in my heart when I am experiencing true love. In the sunlight of this waking up from a dream, I have been able to see that this Sweetness attracts partners like Bees to a magnificent flower that is full of scent and vivd color. I have learned to teach others about how to cultivate this sweetness with a partner by breaking True Love down into four basic components of Trust, Ease, Unconditional Love, and Passion.
In my experience, if you want True Love in your life, all these components must be there. Trust is the foundation, and is built through both partners behaving in ways that are safe and nurturing for each other. Ease comes both from compatibility as well as from an ability to employ the spiritual principles of meditation to relationship. We learn to let go of thoughts that are damaging or untrue or harmful to the relationship. Unconditional love is the third step in creating True Love, and comes from cultivating a wide open heart and then seeing if the ability to love this person with all your heart no matter what is there for you. Finally, with all these in place, we move to passion–a place of chemistry, sexuality, co-creation and relational alchemy. In passion both of you are transformed in the fire of True Love.”

Flow
May 6th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Cancer – Let Life Flow
“Flow in relationship is something that can happen naturally, but for me I had to learn how to create this. I spent a lot of time harboring expectations, keeping score, and neglecting my own self care, then expecting my partner to take care of me. I have found that instead it works better to make some adjustments in how I am looking at things, to let go of expectations, stop keeping score, and take good care of myself”

Play
May 5th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Gemini — Lighten up!
“One thing that all happy healthy partnerships have in common is play. Growth happens in deep relationship, but the growth has to be balanced by pleasure and fun, or the relationship will not survive. None of us can handle being in a place of exhausting emotional examination and deep conversation all the time.
Play is not only good for your partnership, it is good for YOU. Laughter and fun are good for the immune system and help us to live longer. How do you create play together? That is up to you. It can be as simple as silly words and phrases that you make up and share with each other, sharing jokes with each other, going to parties together, sailing, tennis, board games, cards, playing music, playing tag in the park, whatever you can think up. Play is different for each person. Generally there is an element of silliness, or letting go of whether you are right or proper or cool.”

Courage and Fortitude
May 3rd, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Taurus – Face Reality
“Abandoning yourself by settling for love that isn’t real–for someone who doesn’t love you the same way, will only bring death to your spirit over time. You may go through Rage, Despair, and eventually come to a kind of spiritual deadness that prevents you from living your fullest life. It is impossible, or nearly impossible to flourish if you are in an unequal relationship. It is like telling yourself that you are not worth loving, so you might as well take what is being offered.
Courage is needed if you find that the connection between you isn’t equal. It will take courage to communicate clearly and compassionately with the other person about your feelings, courage to go deeply within to find out what your feelings are, courage to look clearly at the other person’s behavior with discernment. Courage to walk away. And Fortitude to stay away.
Often when I end a relationship I have that niggling little voice inside me that says maybe I should give them one more chance, or maybe I should call and make sure they are ok. Instead I remind myself that I must be like a Lioness–strong, untamable, and only willing to hunt and bear cubs to the right Lion.”

Unrequited Love
May 2nd, 2011 by Kypris
New Moon in Taurus — Get in touch with Reality
“Power is a tricky thing in relationship. In a healthy relationship the power is shared equally between the two partners. In an unrequited love relationship, the person who is not in love has power over the other person, mostly because they are not muddled by crazy chemicals running around in their brain.
On the other side of this relationship, the person who is in love feels powerless to stop loving the person or to walk away. The person who is in love may romanticize the situation and think of the other person as an enigma, a riddle who simply needs solving. They may think that if they only found the right words to say or the right clothing or the right behaviors that the other person would shift and begin to love them. They may make up all kinds of excuses for the other person like, “He has issues with intimacy”. or “SHe is still getting over her last relationship”, or “If I make more money she will love me”.
This is our brain being tricky with our heart. In these situations it is best to realize that you have to stop giving away your power, as much as it may hurt to walk away from the other person and realize that they simply don’t love you. You might prefer to think of it as bad luck, because that is truly part of it. Not everyone we love is always going to love us back. This is simply a sad but true fact about life and love. “

Integrity
April 28th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Pisces – Look Deeply Within
“Integrity in my own inner world is defined as small spaces between what you say and what you do. In the search for a partner with integrity, I was led to cultivating this quality in myself.
It is one of the great secrets of partnership that you cannot attract something from your partner that you do not have in yourself. Integrity is a tricky thing. There have been times when I have felt that I was true to my word with my beloved, but then realized that I was deceiving myself. When I looked closer, I found that there were many ways that I had not shown up as promised in a relationship. “

Creating
April 27th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Pisces – Dream your Desires
There are as many blocks to creativity as there are ways to express yourself creatively. I myself have blocked with illness, tiredness, overwork, procrastination, romantic drama, fear, and overwhelm. Writing down these blocks and really looking at where each one was coming from was a great start in unlocking my creativity to be more free flowing…
It is my own experience that unblocking creativity is really hard to do on your own. Finding that inspiration when the inside of you feels dead is hard. Getting up off the couch and out in front of the TV when you wonder “What’s the point?” is hard. It is hard hard work to build your self esteem enough to believe that this expression is important–even if only to you.
That is enough. Because in this process of self-love we are learning to be present with ourselves, not abandoning ourselves when we need something, but instead to say “yes!” and find a way to make it so.

Fear of Meditation
April 26th, 2011 by Kypris
Moon in Aquarius — Change Your Inner World
“I believe that one reason I resisted meditating so long was that I was afraid of my inner light, afraid of feeling different, afraid of what would happen to me if I embraced that. I didn’t know what would happen and that was really scary. Better not to meditate and not have to confront that fear, right?
On the other side of that fear, there has been only beauty and a feeling of being on the right path and knowing what Spirit wants for me. I believe this is the true path of radiance, and it is the next evolution of our consciousness, to be in this place as a species.”
